Here are some of the major projects that Marathon has recently conducted.
COLLEGE - Project: VMWARE MIGRATION TO NEW INFRASTRUCUTRE AND BACKUP
The customer had 3 sites, each running on an outdated version of VMware hosted on legacy hardware with local storage. The purpose of the project was to build a new VMware infrastructure at each site and migrate the current virtual machines. Once complete, implement a reliable backup and replication solution.
The project was broken down into three phases at each site with initial planning and creation of the new hosted platform. Phase 1, the newly created VMware infrastructure with SAN storage was connected to the legacy environment and virtual machines were migrated to the new ESX hosts within a new VCentre Cluster. Phase 2, the virtual disks all of all virtual machines were migrated to the new datastores hosted on a SAN. Phase 3, implement a backup and replication solution to consistently protect all virtual machines.
